A bold new exhibition is opening April 11!
“The Color Orange” explores the fascinating history, uses and emotional impact of one vibrant color – orange. Featuring works from the Stark Museum of Art’s collection spanning the 1500s through the 2000s, the exhibition reveals how artists across cultures and centuries have used orange to bring their works to life.
Through pieces by European, American and American Indian artists, visitors will discover how orange helps artists capture the beauty of nature, create striking imagery and evoke powerful emotions.
But the experience doesn’t stop at looking. Visitors are invited to explore the color for themselves. Hands-on activities throughout the exhibition encourage guests of all ages to react to, experiment and even create with the color orange.
