Granger Chevrolet and Granger RV have added another division to their fleet. On Wednesday they signed the papers on the Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership located on I-10 near the MLK Intersection.
“Team Granger,” said Al Granger as he and partner Bobby Wilkins announced the purchase on The KOGT Morning Show Thursday.
“There’s a lot of work to be done with signage and all but we are open for business and we are selling cars,” said Granger.
“The dealership will receive a much needed makeover and most importantly you’ll be seeing a larger selection of vehicles there very soon,” Wilkins said.
Part of the Team Granger success has been community involvement while offering a “world class experience.” “And that will continue at the new dealership,” Wilkins said. If you’re stopped at an intersection in Orange County chances are you’ll see a car with the Granger sticker or license plate cover. At the same time, in the last two months, Granger Chevrolet has sold cars to people from 10 different states because of their internet deals according to Wilkins.
While Granger is an Orange native and has been selling cars here since the seventies, Wilkins joined the Granger Team in 2013 and joined the management team when Al’s brother and co-owner Dean Granger got sick and unfortunately passed away from cancer on March 21.
KOGT Morning Show host Gary Stelly said, “I only wish Dean could be here because this is something he wanted.”
“Oh he’s here,” brother Al said. “He’s up there like the wizard in the Wizard of Oz pulling the levers and switches and helping us make things happen.”
