Anita VanOuwerkerk, a former LSCO adjunct instructor of developmental reading and writing, has published Danger, Nesting Alligators. It’s a lively blend of fiction with facts about alligators and ferns in a well-researched story.
The protagonist is a likeable character whom pre-teens will relate to; he is adventuresome, curious, and fun to read about.
The book is available for purchase on Amazon in print and electronic formats. To read the first few pages free of charge and/or read reviews, go to the Amazon website and type the book’s title.
Besides teaching at LSCO, Anita taught at Anderson Elementary School. She is a past president of Texas College Reading and Learning Association(TxCRLA) and a past director of Greater Orange Area Literary Services (GOALS).
