On Friday an Little Cypress-Mauriceville substitute teacher was terminated following an incident at the Little Cypress Junior High School.
Superintendent Stacey Brister confirmed that the employee, who had substituted in the district for several years, was removed from campus on Friday. She said the personnel matter is still under investigation and that the Orange Police Department was called after it was reported Friday.
KOGT heard from several parents who all had the same story. They said during athletics class the male substitute yelled to the girls dressing in the locker room to “hurry up.” He then entered the dressing room and told them to hurry up again.
Brister said, “We have policies in place to protect the students as well as the teachers. They weren’t followed this time and the teacher was removed.”
