Shannon King, Social Studies Chair, UT OnRamps/APUSH, UIL Academic Coordinator said, “Brianna is possibly one of the most organized students that I have ever had the pleasure to teach; she also exhibits dogged determination and perseverance when particularly critical challenges arise. Brianna’s ability to persevere was evident last year when she opted to participate in a new dual-enrolled US History course created by The University of Texas; Brianna was determined to master this new course, and she did! Brianna maintained an A in both the high school course and its university equivalent.
Not only was Brianna successful in her advanced classes last year, but she has also consistently been on her “A game” this year as well. Brianna is so successful in the advanced classes that other students will call upon her for help and she will patiently guide her classmates through difficult math and science problems. As part of the UIL Computer Science Academic Team, Brianna and her teammates have consistently improved each week; so much so, that the team earned their first medal of the year. I am fully confident that Brianna will continue to successfully challenge herself and others as she embarks on her post-high school educational career. I have no doubt that Brianna Taylor will accomplish great things.”
Hannah Landry, Math Teacher said “Brianna is a spectacular math student and is involved in everything STEM related: Engineering, Computer Science, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus, and College Algebra. It has been my absolute pleasure having Brianna in class these last two years. She is an extremely hard-working student and very intelligent, an unstoppable combination. I am confident that Brianna will succeed at anything she does because of these qualities. She has a bright future ahead of her.”
Jamie Quarles, Math Teacher said “It has been an honor and privilege to have Brianna in class 2 of her 4 years of high school. I taught her Pre AP – Algebra 1 her freshman year and now have her in College Algebra. Brianna is a WONDERFUL student: very hard-working, intelligent, and very self-driven. It has been so exciting to see her excel through her time at BCHS. She is very sweet and is ALWAYS willing to help others out, which to me is a great quality!! Brianna is very deserving to be recognized as BCHS Chamber Student of the Month. She has a BRIGHT future ahead of her. Congratulations Brianna!!!”
When asked about her future plans, Brianna said she plans to attend Lamar
University and pursue a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
