The ministry of Dr. George Harris literally spans the world. After 50 years in the pastorate, almost 30 of those as senior pastor of the great Castle Hills Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas, Dr. Harris retired. And was seen on national television for 23 of those years. The television ministry was carried world-wide by then PTL network, as “THE CHURCH TRIUMPHANT”. Upon retirement from Castle Hills Pastor Harris began interim pastorate at the First Baptist of Kerrville Texas that lasted for six years; he retired in 2012 due to health problems, but continues a limited itinerate ministry. He has authored several books.
Dr. Harris and his wife Lynda have been married since 1956 and currently live in Boerne, Texas. The Harris’s have four children, 10 grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
