Suzie Wimberley’s Second Grade class at St. Mary Catholic School are now published authors. The students wrote “Our Best Day Ever” and dedicated the book to Mrs. Melissa McCorvy, the Library Manager. She is always so excited about reading due to the adventures, enjoyment and values experienced by books.

This week is an exciting week for St. Mary Catholic School. Clifford, the Big Red Dog showed up Monday to kick off the Scholastic BOGO Book Fair. Melissa McCorvy, Librarian and Dr. Sheila Smith, volunteer always work hard (with the help of parent volunteers) to get the Library ready. This is the time for everyone to buy books to ensure they have plenty reading material for the entire summer.
Red is Clifford’s favorite color so the students and staff were allowed to wear red shirts to welcome him. The cheerleaders lead the school in singing the St. Mary School Song. They also cheered to “Who Let the Dogs Out” to give everyone a hint of the theme of the book fair.
