
On Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at approximately 5:10 A.M., officers with the City of Orange Police Department responded to a reported robbery at a convenience store located at 333 East Lutcher Drive.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the store clerk, who stated that a heavyset black male entered the store carrying a long object wrapped in black plastic. The suspect threatened to kill her if she did not open the cash register. Fearing for her safety, the clerk complied. The suspect stole an undetermined amount of cash and fled westbound on foot.
The suspect was described as wearing a multicolored head and facial covering (exposing only the nose and eyes), a dark jacket, dark pants, black boots, and lime green gloves. Security video provided by the store manager confirmed the clerk’s account.
