Seven young Cowgirls and a Cowboy will be representing the Orange County Youth Rodeo Association in the coming weeks in State Rodeo contests.
The Texas Junior High State Finals will be May 22-29 in Gonzales.
Those competing included L to R: Allie Williams 7th grade Goat tying, Ribbons; Jada Montagne 7th grade Goat tying, breakaway Roping & light rifle competition; Addison Henderson 8th grade breakaway roping and ribbons; Steeley Franklin 7th grade Barrels racing, Pole bending, breakaway roping and ribbons; (Front) Jessa Montagne 6th grade Barrel racing; Kambelle Blackwell (pictured separately) will compete in 6th grade pole bending.
The Texas High School State Finals will be June 9 in Abilene with two of our locals competing.
Jasleigh Montagne (top) will compete in barrel racing and Kolbie Sowell in Team Roping.
