Sunday evening the Sabine River Authority announced the opening of ELEVEN spillway gates at one foot each after Toledo Bend Reservoir reached 172.50 following another weekend of rainfall. The total CFS is currently 18,425. Compare that to Feb. 21 when the lake level was at 169.4 and CFS was 210 with the gates closed. But currently it’s far away from the 200,000+ CFS seen in the 2016 floods when the river crested at 33.24 ft. Low level flooding along the Sabine River is expected. The map predicts a crest in Deweyville of 26.3 on March 2. Subject to change.
