
Saturday evening the Sabine River Authority opened all 11 gates at the Toledo Bend Dam to two feet as they try to get the lake below 172.50 feet.
They opened all 11 gates one foot just after midnight April 13 when the lake was at 172.80. As of 10pm Saturday evening, the lake was 172.90 according to the SRA, prompting the gates to be open another foot, increasing the CFS from 11000 to 22000.
The Sabine River at Deweyville was expected to peak today near 28 feet. Now it looks like the 28 foot mark, which is four feet above flood stage, will hang around til at least Monday.
