
The Sabine River Authority has closed six spillway gates at Toledo Bend Reservoir, leaving only five open at one foot each.
The dam with two generators operating is now releasing a total of 19,410 cubic feet of water per second. That’s a decrease of 16,000 cubic feet per second of what was released last week.
The Sabine River at Deweyville Monday evening was down to 25.5 feet, considered the minor flood stage. Flood stage is 24 feet.
The river is expected to slowly go down through the week but remain in the minor flood stage.
