
As temperatures are getting consistently colder with the approach of winter concern for the homeless also intensifies. Getting a hot meal on a cold day is important. In the City of Orange there is a hot meal provided every weekday.

Another location that helps feed the needy is the Essie Bellfield Community Center which serves meals to senior citizens age 60 years and older every weekday. The Essie Bellfield Community Center is located at the corner of Fifth Street at Division Street.
The Orange Church of God on 16th Street has an Open Door Policy whenever the forecast is calling for the temperature to be below 34 degrees two nights in a row. In those situation the church opens its doors for people to come in, spend the night, shower, and have a free breakfast the next morning.
