Registration deadline ended Friday and no one signed up to run against current Vidor Mayor Misty Songe.
Mayor Songe said, “I truly appreciate all the trust and support! Filing has officially closed and yall have given me another two years to serve this city as Mayor. I’m looking forward to the things we will accomplish in this next two years! There are a lot of huge projects in the works for this town and I’m grateful to be here to see some of it through.”
However there will be a contested race in Vidor in Ward 6. Victoria Jones, Kathryn Weldon and and Lisa Harris will compete for the seat. Election Day is Saturday, May 6.
