The Stark Museum of Art is thrilled to announce the Third Annual College Juried Art Exhibition and invites college students to submit their best work for consideration. Students may enter any 2-D work of art, such as painting, drawing, digital, graphic design and photography. This is a unique opportunity to showcase creativity in a professional setting, gain exposure and compete for a chance to be featured in one of Southeast Texas’ premier art institutions.
The College Juried Art Exhibition will feature original works of art from college and university students in Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana. Students of all majors are encouraged to submit entries and are not required to be enrolled in an art program.
The exhibition will be juried by staff at the Stark Museum of Art, who will select three outstanding entries for awards sponsored by Blick Art Materials. The awards are as follows:
- Best of Show – $500 Blick Art Materials gift certificate
- Two Honorable Mentions – $100 Blick Art Materials gift certificate
“The Stark Museum of Art is committed to supporting the next generation of artists and fostering a vibrant artistic community. This exhibition not only offers valuable exposure but also provides tangible rewards to encourage and celebrate exceptional talent,” said Rebecca Johns, school programs manager for the Stark Museum of Art.
The submitted works will be displayed at the Stark Museum of Art from November 9 through December 20, providing an opportunity for the community to engage with and appreciate the innovative and diverse talents of our college artists.
“We look forward to showcasing the incredible talent within our community and we also extend our gratitude to Blick Art Materials for their generous support,” said Johns.
