Bravo network’s newest reality show set in The Hamptons will have some Orange flavor. Jaclyn Shuman, a West Orange-Stark High graduate who grew up in Orange, will be one of the nine professionals from New York City who are featured.
Tuesday, Bravo announced the non-scripted show “Summer House” will debut on Monday, January 16. “When a group of beautiful and successful New Yorkers leaves the comfort zone of the big Apple behind to party their summer away in their home away from home, nothing is off limits,” the network said on its website. The nine will party from Memorial Day to Labor Day “when they’re not hustling at their day jobs.”
Shuman is described as “a flirty, silly girl-next-door type from Texas who moved to New York City to work fashion design and wound up ‘falling into’ fit modeling.” The “biography” says “she’s in a big transition period in her life, newly single after a bad break-up. Heartbroke.”
But Bravo will make sure she fits in with the new show’s theme. “She tends to come across as shy and reserved at first, but once she has scoped out her surroundings and is comfortable, she unleashes her uncensored flirtatious self,” the biography said.
Shuman is also a graduate of the University of Texas and has lived in New York for several years working in various fashion positions. Recently, she has been featured as a bra model in a campaign in the Aerie by American Eagle lingerie line.
