Chase Shugart was moved up to the Lowell Spinners this week, the Red Sox Class A Short Season team out of Lowell, Mass. Shugart started Thursday and dazzled in his Spinners debut after throwing three perfect innings. The 12th-round pick out of Texas also struck out three batters. He threw 37 pitches, 26 for strikes, but was not a factor in the decision. Lowell lost the game to the Tri-City Valleycats 3-2.
