Relievers Chase Shugart and Grant Anderson faced off against each other Monday night. Anderson’s Brewers got the 7-1 win over the Pirates with two scoreless innings from the WOS grad. Shugart looked good in his first appearance since coming off the IL. He struck out 5 in 3 innings, giving up a run on 2 hits.
Milwaukee has been red hot with the league’s best record at 74-44. The Pirates are 51-69.
