The Bridge City City Council met in a regularly scheduled meeting in Bridge City on Tuesday night. That will be the council’s last meeting of the year. The City Council voted to cancel its next meeting that was scheduled for Tuesday, December 18, because of its close proximity to the Christmas holiday.
The first meeting in January was scheduled for New Year’s Day. The council members discussed cancelling it as well, but that would mean more than a month between meetings. The City Council approved moving the meeting to Tuesday, January 8, with option of cancelling it at a later date if there is no pressing business that needs to be handled.
In the only other business the council approved Action Engineering as the firm to handle the work regarding a Community Development and Revitalization Grant through the General Land Office. The selection committee reviewed the two applications received for the project and recommended Action Engineering be awarded the contract.
