On Monday, October 27, 2025, at approximately 12:31 P.M., the City of Orange Police Department received multiple calls reporting gunshots in the Roselawn area of Orange. A few minutes later, dispatch received a call from the Golden Triangle Emergency Center regarding a male subject who had arrived at the emergency room with gunshot wounds.
Officers and Detectives responded and initiated an investigation. It was determined that the shooting occurred near the intersection of Circle R and Bluebonnet. Investigators located several shell casings at the scene.
After speaking with the victim and witnesses, the suspect was identified as 19 year old Malik Hubbard. Contact was made with Hubbard at 1 Circle R, where he was taken into custody without incident and charged with Aggravated Assault (2nd Degree Felony).
The victim, Jesus Lugo Jr., 20, was treated at Golden Triangle Emergency Center and later discharged.
This case remains under active investigation.
