Born in Iowa, on January 7, 1936, she was the daughter of Victor Lawton and Eleanore Weinbeck Lawton. Sharron was known for her passion for cooking and baking, which led her to own The Bake Shop on Western Avenue in West Orange. Her culinary creations were more than just food; they were expressions of love and joy that brought people together. Beyond her culinary talents, Sharron had a creative side that shone through her drawing and painting. She found beauty in the world around her and conveyed that beauty through her art. As an avid reader, she cherished the stories that took her on journeys beyond the horizon, always seeking new knowledge and perspectives. Sharron also dedicated her professional life to helping others as a dietician at Orange Memorial Hospital and the Pilot Club. Her knowledge and commitment to nutrition positively impacted the lives of many in her community. A devoted member of the church, Sharron found comfort and strength in her faith. Her love for antiquing allowed her to connect with history and appreciate the beauty of bygone eras. More than anything, Sharron adored her family. She was a loving mother to her boys and an especially doting grandmother, who was affectionately called “Granny.” The bond she shared with her grandchildren was filled with warmth, laughter, and a treasure trove of memories that they will carry with them always. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
