The Celebration of Life for Mrs. Sharon Ann Bell, 67, of Orange, will be Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, at 10 am at the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. Rites of Christian Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Hemphill, TX under the direction of Sparrow Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 until 10 am at the church.
Sharon Ann Bell was born on August 17, 1954, in Hemphill, Texas to Mary (Brush) Kelly and Horace Kelly.
She was baptized and accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church of Orange in her younger years, but later in life she joined St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.
Educated in Orange, she graduated from Lutcher Stark High School in 1973. She then attended Lamar University for two years.
She was employed with Pinehurst Nursing and Rehabilitation for 30 years as a dietary supervisor until her retirement in August 2020.
She met and married the love of her life Jesse Bell in 1976 and to this union four children were born.
Sharon was a self-taught seam-tress. She braided hair for most of the generations of children in the family. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be remembered for her delicious meals, desserts, contagious laughter, and her sweet and kind spirit.
Her summons from life to eternal life came Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Horace Kelly, daughter Latrice Montoya Bell, and sister, Joyce Kamodjou.
Her precious memories will be forever cherished in the lives of her husband Jesse L. Bell, Jr; her loving children, Latoya Collins (Derrick), Jesse Bell III, (Candace) and India Bell, sixteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, her loving sister and brother, Debra Merritt and Larry Kelly and a host of nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.
