The Vidor school district reports that seven girl students at Vidor Junior High were taken by ambulance to a Beaumont hospital Thursday morning after taking over-the-counter cold medications.
One of the girls had brought the medication in pill form to school. The girls began vomiting and went to the school nurse’s office. Emergency responders were then called.
The district in a release said the parents were notified and the incident is being investigated according to the school’s guidelines.
