
Scott Lynwood Hyatt, age 54, of Starks, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024, in Starks, Louisiana. Funeral Services, honoring Scott, will be held at 12:00 PM, on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Dorman Funeral Home; Chaplain Steve Kidwell officiating. Rite of committal and interment will immediately follow, at Hyatt Cemetery. Visitation of family and friends will be held Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at Dorman Funeral Home.
Born in Sulphur, Louisiana, January 5, 1970, Scott was the son of Elton E. and Jackie Sue Hyatt of Starks, Louisiana. Scott was a millwright by trade and finished his career out at Firestone in Orange, Texas. He served in official capacity in both the United SteelWorkers and Southern States Millwright Regional Local 2232 Unions and was a Mason.
Scott’s love for his family was endless. He was the master of providing for them. His greatest joys were his grandchildren, Emma Joy, Jude and Jackie. Scott loved dearly the ground he lived on. He took great pride and joy in it and the trees that adorned it. He was very proud to be of and from Starks, Louisiana.
Scott was preceded in death by his father Elton E. and mother Jackie Sue Hyatt and his brother Daniel Hyatt.
He is survived by his loving wife Melissa Hyatt; daughter, Lauryn and son-in-law Josh Young; sons, Levi Hyatt and Dylan Anthony; sisters, Eleshia Reel and husband Bobby and Pam Courmier and husband Terry; brother, Steven Hyatt and Denice Courmier and grandchildren, Emma, Jude and Jackie Young.
Arrangements were made under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home.
