After a hard loss to Bullard it looked liked the magic had disappeared for the Lady Bears. The battle weary warriors collected their gear and trudged down the hill to face their final opponent of the weekend, the Franklin Lady Lions. It was a tough start and it looked like the Bears forgot to wake their bats from their slumber but in the fourth, fifth and six innings the lady bears came back to life. Stephenson lit a spark in the top of the fourth with a double. Woodson then singled to right field and would score Stephenson. Doucet would reach on and error and that would push Woodson across making the score 3-7. Moss would double advancing Doucet to 3b and then Erickson would double knocking in both Doucet and Moss making the score 5-7. Th Lions answer back in the bottom of the fourth and make the score 5-8. The lady bears would tie the ball game up in the top of the fifth with Brown and Woodson each drawing a walk and scoring on a Frenzel double. Frenzel would then steal third and score the tying run on a Kinsley Doucet single.
The Lady Lions couldn’t answer back in bottom of the fifth so an ITB was in effect for the 6th inning.
