Sandra Elizabeth James, 76, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024, in Orange, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Dorman Funeral Home; Pastor Stephen Samuel officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior, at Dorman Funeral Home.
Sandra was born on Friday, April 2, 1948, in Brainerd, Minnesota, to Ethel (Widmark) Kunde and Stewart Kunde. She worked briefly as a flight attendant for TWA but soon discovered her true calling in life as a mother, wife, homemaker, and especially as a devoted grandmother. Sandra and her late husband, Skip, operated a fishing guide service on Sabine Lake for over 20 years, creating lasting memories for many. She was an active member of Community Christian Church in Orange, TX, where she faithfully served in the nursery for several decades.
In her leisure time, Sandra loved beachcombing, traveling and cherished spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and Stewart Kunde, her first husband, Peter Weizenegger, and her husband, Skip James.
She is survived by her sons, Ned Weizenegger and wife Ronda of Minnesota, Samuel Weizenegger and wife Natalie of Orange, TX, Zachary Weizenegger and wife Laura of Orange, TX, and Joe James of Orange, TX; her siblings, Lorel Stanford of Reno, NV, Nancy Nelson of Minnesota, Richard Kunde of Minnesota, Craig Kunde of Minnesota, and Scott Kunde of California; and her cherished grandchildren, Dana Pearson, Kenyon Weizenegger, Aubree Weizenegger, Isa Weizenegger, Alysa Weizenegger, and Abel Weizenegger. She is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends who will miss her deeply.
Sandra’s memory will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
