
Sammy Ray Holden, 73, died Sunday, April 10th, 2016 at his home in Vidor. He was a lifelong resident of Vidor and served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Sammy was a fresh foods manager at Sam’s Club for 8 years and a District Regional manager for Safeway for 13 years. He liked to read and woodworking and loved to watch Fox News. Visitation will be Monday, April 11, 2016 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Sammy is survived by his wife of 50 years, Shirley Holden of Vidor, 1 son, Shawn Holden and wife Belinda of Vidor, 1 daughter, Debbie Wright of Vidor. He is also survived by 2 brothers, Frank Holden of Vidor and Terry Holden of Centerville, TX, 1 sister, Elva Faye Smith of Vidor, 2 grandchildren, Chase and Grant Holden, and many nieces and nephews.
