
Consumer sales remain strong across Orange County based on the September payments to local entities. The cities, county, and one special district show increases for the year to date, compared to the same time last year.
The Texas Comptroller’s Office has sent these payments:
Bridge City (1.5 percent tax): $173,900 for the month and $1.83 million for the year to date, a 25.43 percent increase from last year.
Orange (1.5 percent tax): $496,674 for the month and $4.98 million for the year to date, a 19.79 percent increase from last year.
Pinehurst (1.5 percent tax): $60,637 for the month and $644,620 for the year to date, a 17.8 percent increase from last year.
West Orange (1.25 percent tax): $97,991 for the month and $1.14 for the year to date, an 8.23 percent increase.
Orange County (0.5 percent tax): $376,897 for the month and $4.87 million for the year to date, an 18 percent increase from last year.
Orange County Emergency Services District No. 3 (Little Cypress Fire) (1.5 percent tax): $17,788 for the month and $175,826 for the year to date, a 9.16 percent increase.
