Born in Orange, Texas, on February 17, 1955, she was the daughter of Wilbur Klein and Mildred (Duhon) Klein. Ruth was a “people” person. She fiercely loved Randy and her guys, Brad, Billy, and Tommy. A piece of her heart was lost when their precious daughter Carrie passed in 2011. She enjoyed having friends and family over for games and her chicken stew. Her passion was working in her flower beds, RVing, joining her “lake sisters” for a getaway, and yes, a “quick” trip to the casinos. She was active in her church, especially through ACTS, and also loved her special friends in the BCHS band community. Ruth was loving, kind, and generous – always thinking of others no matter how she was feeling. You could count yourself special if you received one of her pans of brownies or her chocolate oatmeal cookies. She leaves behind a legacy of love and friendship and will truly be missed by those who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Mildred Klein; daughter, Carrie Renee Wallace Walpole; and mother-in-law, Juanita Wallace.
She is survived by her loving husband, Randy Wallace; son, Bradley Alan Wallace; grandchildren, William Wallace Walpole and Thomas Brady Walpole; siblings, Randal Klein, Glen Klein and wife Susan, Peggy Biddle and husband Sam; father-in-law, Glen Wallace and numerous special nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Wesley Biddle, Robert Biddle, Cory Klein, Luke Williams, Mark Bunch, and Mikail Molley. Honorary pallbearers are Sam Biddle, Glen Klein, Randal Klein, and Dallas Powers.
