Early voting for the party primary runoff elections started Monday and will have extended hours of 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
The early voting sites are the Orange Public Library, Orange County Expo Center, Orange County Airport, and Raymond Gould Community Center. Registered Orange County voters may go to any early voting box. If someone voted in the Republican or Democratic party March primary, they must vote in the same party’s runoff.
No local runoff races are on the ballots. Republicans have a runoff for Chief Justice of the Ninth Court of Appeals. The runoff is between Jay Wright and Scott Golemon.
In the Democratic runoff, Royce West is running against Mary “MJ” Hegar for the U.S. Senate nomination. The winner will face incumbent John Cornyn in November. The other race is for the nomination for Railroad Commissioner between Roberto R. “Beto” Alonzo and Chrystal Castaneda.
