Rufus “Jason” Cloud was born July 23, 1968, and passed away November 3, 2025, at the age of 57.
Jason was a man who truly loved life and the people in it. He found his greatest joy in the great outdoors, whether it was a quiet morning on the lake with a fishing rod in hand, a crisp fall day spent hunting, or simply soaking in the beauty of nature. He was never happier than when he was outside, sharing stories and laughter with the people he loved.
To know Jason was to love him. He never met a stranger and had a gift for making everyone feel welcome. His sense of humor and quick wit could light up any room, and there was truly never a dull moment when he was around.
He is survived by wife, Laurel “Peachy” Hodge; step children, Lorenzo Lopez, and Ashley Klop; father, Ronnie Cloud; siblings, Adam Cloud, and Amber Cloud; nephew, Jonathan Carroll; niece, S;vana Roberts; and numerous extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Gwendolyn Clark; and stepfather, Thomas Clark.
Family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Dorman-Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 8808 Highway 87 North Orange, Texas.
