
The Celebration of Life for Mrs. Rosie Lee Harris Jenkins, 85, of Orange, will be Thursday, May 22nd,2025, at 1pm at the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.
Rites of Christian Burial will follow at Magnolia Memorial Gardens under the direction of Sparrow Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 12noon until 1pm.
Rosie Lee Caldwell was born in Nacogdoches, Texas, Wednesday, October 4, 1939, to Ora (Patton) Caldwell and Ellis Caldwell.
Growing into womanhood she met and married Jarrell Harris. To this union four children were born, Jeretha, Eugene, Rosie and Janice.
In later years, her life was spent with David Jenkins. Both Mr. Harris and Mr. Jenkins preceded her in death.
She spent her life as a homemaker and loving her children.
A member of the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, many will long remember her for making sure those without transportation had a way to church, and most definitely those beautiful hats she always wore.
Her summons from earthly life came Tuesday, May 13th, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas.
Along with her parents, also preceding her in death were a sister, Mary Louise Landry and a brother, Ellis Caldwell, Jr.
Cherishing her memories are her children, Jeretha Brisco of Port Arthur, TX, Eugene Harris of Orange, TX, Rosie M. Miller (Van) of Katy, TX, and Janice J. Jones (Larry) of Houston, TX. Also, she has 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Nita Geter and Geraldine Caldwell, and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
