Ronald Allan Stephens, age 71 of Orange, Texas, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2019 at his home in Orange. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 27, 2019, at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park. Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, September 26, 2019, at Dorman Funeral Home.
Ronald was born on August 15, 1948 in Sheffield, Alabama to Melba Jean (Mills) Stephens and David Allan Stephens. His family moved to Orange, Texas when he was young, and he graduated from LCM High School in 1968. Ronald proudly served in the United States Air Force. He was the manager of Wyatt’s Cafeteria for a number of years where he was a dedicated, hard worker that always believed in giving 100%. Ronald enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching Alabama football, Roll Tide! Life to Ronald was always about his family, and he was an extremely loving and caring husband, father and grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his parents, David and Melba Stephens, father-in-law Frank Gerity, sister Charlotte Dale Penick, and brother-in-law Dean Gerity.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Jo Ellen Stephens of Orange, TX; his sons, Keith Stephens and wife Erin and Kyle Stephens and wife Amy all of Orange, TX; three grandchildren, Lane, Lukas and Noah Stephens; and mother-in-law Mary Ann Gerity; as well as several brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Serving as pallbearers will be James Williams, Corey Gerity, Alton Pursley, Darrell Reed, Keith Stephens and Kyle Stephens.
