Robert Roberson was born November 25, 1945, and passed November 27, 2025, at the age of 80.
Robert was born with a love for motion and the open road, he became known for his spirit as a street rider, always chasing the next stretch of asphalt and the freedom it offered.
After graduating high school, he went straight to work, taking on night shifts that he kept for nearly 30 years. His strong work ethic and quiet perseverance shaped not only his life but the lives of those who admired his commitment. Through discipline and determination, he proudly retired at the remarkable age of 50, giving himself the time to truly enjoy the things he loved most.
And what he loved, he loved deeply was car shows, good engines, great craftsmanship, and especially the iconic 1940 Ford. Whether he was polishing chrome, talking horsepower, or simply admiring the classics, he found joy and community among fellow enthusiasts. Those who knew him will remember that unmistakable spark in his eye whenever he was around beautiful machines.
Above all, he will be remembered for his loyalty, his generosity, and the steady, genuine way he showed up for the people in his life. His presence brought comfort; his passions brought excitement; his stories brought smiles.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Sharon Roberson; and stepson, Paul David McCoppin, Jr.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Hilda Roberson.
Cremation was entrusted to Dorman-Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 8808 Highway 87 North, Orange, Texas.
