Robert Lee Haynes, Sr., 77, of Mauriceville passed away Sunday, October 18, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a jack of all trades, he was a machinist, carpenter, fabricator etc. He never let anything stop him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Quinton and Mattie Haynes; siblings, Dorris Ellis, Margaret Harris, Barbara Eddy, Irene Eddy, Donald Haynes and William Haynes.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Lennette Haynes of Mauriceville; children, Robert Lee Haynes, Jr. and wife Sherri of Evadale and Cindy Ellis and husband Jeff of Jasper; sister, Emma Block of Vidor; grandchildren, Ashley Renee Haynes, Allison Leigh Carter, Jeffery Ellis, Jr., Colby Ellis and Sydney Palmer; great grandchildren, Landen Carter, Brody Carter, Karson Smith, and Paisley White and numerous nieces and nephews.
His family will receive friends at Lumberton Family Funeral Home Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Lumberton Family Funeral Home., officiated by Chaplain David Abshire. Interment will follow at Baker-Bell Cemetery near Fred, TX.
Serving as pallbearers will be Colby Ellis, Jeffery Ellis, Jr., Ronny Smith, Jr., Jeff Ellis, Sr., Jackie Carter and Danny Mahan. Honorary pallbearers are Rodney Block, Ronny Smith, Sr. and James Craft.
