Robert Allen Nixon Jr., age 65, of Hartburg, Texas, passed away at his home, on Wednesday, July 3, 2024. A private celebration of life will be held by family, at a later date. Arrangements were made under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home.
On Wednesday, December 10, 1958, Robert was born to Tera (Davis) Nixon and Robert Allen Nixon Sr, in Orange, Texas. He was the apple of his grandparents (T.J. and Jewel Davis’s) eye. His family moved to Deweyville in 1965. He graduated in 1977 from Deweyville High School. After that he attended Lamar for Industrial Technology. On June 15, 1979, he married Teena Williamson. They welcomed their precious daughter Amanda in August 1984. He worked for Dupont for many years until he retired.
Robert is proceeded in death by his parents Robert and Tera Nixon, his lifelong best friend Doug Seal.
Survived by wife of 46 years Teena Nixon, daughter Amanda Omey and husband Khris, his best buddy and grandson Kace Omey, sisters Becky Dixon and husband Russell, Kay Cody and husband Randy and numerous nephews and nieces and cousins.
