Robert Alan Beard, 45, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
He was born in Jasper, Texas, on October 5,1979, to Debra Wright Shorten and the late Robert Lee Beard.
He attended Orangefield High School until 1998. In 2000, he joined the US Army to serve our country and was honorably discharged in 2002.
Those left to cherish Robert’s memory are his wife of thirteen years, Mary Beard, of Bridge City; his children, Hunter Beard, of Orange, Eliana and Scarlett Beard, of Bridge City, Jason Schuff, of Bridge City, and Kolby Schuff and his wife, Kaya, of Beaumont; his mother, Debra Shorten and stepfather, Bryan, of Orange; his stepmother, Cynthia Beard, of Hemphill; his siblings, Amanda Sites and her husband, Dale, of Hemphill, Ryan Beard and his wife, Cynthia, of Hemphill, Alisha Martinez and her husband, Omar, of Orange, Kenny Shorten and his wife, Megan, of Slidell, LA, Heather Hernandez and her husband, Roland, of Orange, Tiffany Farris and her husband, David, of Jefferson, GA, and Matt Shorten, of Biloxi, MS; his grandmother, Oweta Wright, of Orange; his step-grandmother, Greet Daniels, of Groves, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Beard.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Grace Baptist Church, 3417 Berry Avenue, Groves. His cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
