Rex Ansley, was born on January 3, 1933 in Honey Grove, Texas, the son of Lucille Ansley Martin and George R. Ansley. Recently of Athens, Texas, he lived most of his life in Orange, Tx. Rex enjoyed life as a teacher, coach and principal in Orange. After retirement Rex spent his time as a Tennis Pro winning many tournaments from Florida to Texas.
After an active life, Rex suffered a short illness followed by a peaceful passing. A word of thanks To South Place for their compassionate care.
Surving Rex are his nieces Karen Anderson of Athens, Dee Taylor of Bastrop, Charlotte Tucker of Garland, and nephew Roy Martin of Garland. A family Memorial Service will be held in Garland, Texas.
