Joe grew up with his brothers and sister under the watchful eyes and caring heart of his mother Lucille and the firm hand of his father JA. While in the Army, he met the love of his life Hazel Marie. Together they raised three beautiful daughters and were blessed with two angels that departed this earth too soon.
During his lifetime Joe traveled to every state sharing the gospel, making a good trade deal or selling insurance. He was always on the lookout for the next best deal. If you know, you know. Many of his years were spent with his longtime friend and mentor, Rev. W.E. Gamblin as they traveled and preached God’s Word from cathedrals to dirt floor churches in the mountains. If you needed a friend to talk to no matter the time of day or night, he was there to listen and share God’s love and compassion.
We will greatly miss his laughter and love for his family.
Hug someone today and say, “That was from Joe, Uncle Joe or Brother Bickham”, however you were
fortunate enough to have known him.
