Shipley Donuts, 710 North Main Street in Vidor: 95. Foods inside coolers and storage units needed to be covered. Same pan lines were used multiple times for backing. Equipment needed to be cleaned of old foods.
Star Stop/In and Out, 100 West Freeway in Vidor: 94. Inspector pulled several expired foods from shelves. Drinks were stored on the floor in the walk-in cooler. Light shields were needed. Food service permit was not posted in front of store.
Bass Seafood, 1102 West Park Avenue in Orange: 70. Restaurant was not keeping hot or cold foods at proper holding temperatures. Foods were not kept separated and protected during preparation, storage, display and tasting. Restaurant did not have certified food manager or food handler. Dates were not properly kept on foods. Hand-washing facilities were not properly supplied and used. Food surfaces were not properly cleaned. Non-food surfaces were not clean. Business did not have garbage facilities properly maintained. Cut onions, cut lettuce and shelled eggs were not at proper temperatures. Shrimp fried rice and fried chicken were not at proper temperatures. No record was kept on holding foods. Foods were not covered inside reach-in cooler. Fryers and fry baskets had grease build-up and needed to be immediately cleaned. Dates were needed on products. Hand-washing station did not have soap and paper towels. Three-compartment sink was used for purging crawfish and restaurant needed to install a prep sink for that. Employee was wearing a low-cut shirt showing stomach. All equipment, counters and storage areas needed to be cleaned of old foods. Outside dumpster are needed to be cleaned of old trash. Floors, walls and ceilings needed to be cleaned of old foods and grease. Ceiling tiles were damaged. No hand-washing sign was posted at hand-washing station.
Kroger Deli, 1600 16th Street in Orange:94. Floor drain was stopped up. Meat was defrosting inside a pot of water inside the three-compartment sin. Cooking equipment, storage equipment, air vents, ceilings and floors needed to be cleaned of old foods. Floor grout was needed near fryers.

Daily Donuts, 2580 Texas Avenue in Bridge City: 84. Inspector found sausage and boudin out of proper temperatures. No record of time found for holding sausage and boudin at room temperatures. Food inside the coolers and freezers needed to be covered and dated. Trash bags were used to cover raw dough on the prep table. Spider webs and dead bugs were inside light shields. Employee food and drinks were stored improperly inside the cooler. Pan liners were used multiple times to bake kolaches. Vent-a-Hood and floors needed to be cleaned of old foods.
Just for Kids Daycare, 480 East Roundbunch Road in Bridge City: 100.
Church’s Chicken, 1805 Texas Avenue in Bridge City: 87. Restaurant needed to cover all foods inside coolers and freezers. Ice scoop was on top of garbage bags. Sanitizer bucket was stored on top of prep table. Employees food and drinks were stored improperly on storage shelves. Storage shelves, containers and floors needed to be cleaned of old foods and grease. Floor tiles under the three-compartment sink were broken off the wall. Current food service permit and current health inspection report were not posted in front.
Jack in the Box, 2900 16th Street in Orange: 76. Grilled chicken, cut tomatoes along with everything inside the walk-in cooler were not at proper temperatures. Foods inside coolers and freezers needed to be covered. Slime was inside the ice machine. Some employees did not have food handler certificates, walk-in cooler and reach-in cooler near front register were not at proper temperatures. Dates were needed on products. Paper towels were not a hand-washing station. Gaskets were not sealing the reach-in cooler. Box of food was stored on the floor inside the walk-in freezer. Vent-a-Hood, storage shelves, coolers, and freezers needed to be cleaned of old foods and grease. Floors and walls needed to be cleaned of old foods. Paper towels were needed inside the employee restroom. Current food service permit and current health inspection were not posted in the front of the restaurant. Inspector commented that lots of maintenance was needed.
Veteran’s Grocery, 1900 DuPont Drive in Orange: 94. Inspector found not plumbing with no hot water or hand-washing station inside.
Denny’s, 7112 Interstate 10 West in Orange: 76. Prepared eggs and shelled eggs were not at proper temperatures. Inspector pulled several expired or outdated foods from the coolers and storage shelves. Wet boxes of food (cheesecakes) were inside walk-in freezer. Sanitizer buckets were stored on top of prep table. Faucet and hose on mop sink were dripping water. Foods were stored inside a broken cooler (inspector pulled them immediately). Water was on bottom shelf of reach-in coolers. Employee drinks and personal items were stored improperly on prep table and storage shelves. Wiping cloths were stored on prep table and should have been inside a bucket of sanitizer. Vent-a-Hood, storage shelves and equipment needed to be cleaned of old foods. Floors and walls needed to be cleaned of old foods. Inspector said lots of cleaning and organizing was required and that restaurant was in poor condition.

Las Regio Mexican Food, 18440 Highway 62 South in Orange: 93. Shelled eggs were not at proper temperature. Several molded vegetables were inside the reach-in cooler. Current health inspection report was not posted in front of restaurant.
Express Mart, 20871 Highway 62 South in Orange: 98. Drinks were stored on the floor inside the walk-in cooler. Current food service permit, current health inspection report and certified food manager certificates were not posed in front of the store.
Zapco Food Mart, 18548 Highway 62 South in Orange: 91. Foods inside the cooler and freezer needed to be covered and dated. Ice scoop was on top of crates. Drinks were stored on floor inside walk-in cooler.
Luigi’s Italian Grill, 3105 Edgar Brown Drive in West Orange: 100.
Star Stop, 1101 Green Avenue in Orange: 86. Inspector pulled several expired foods from shelves. Mold found inside ice machine and on drink dispensers. Outside plumbing was disconnected and draining onto ground. Store name and address were needed on bags of ice being sold, mice feces were found inside cabinets under drink station, drinks were stored on the floor, inside of storage cabinets needed to be cleaned of mice feces and trash.

Big M’s Exxon Station, 1918-A Strickland Drive in Pinehurst: 94. Inspector pulled several expired foods from shelves, some from 2016. Drinks were stored on the floor inside the walk-in cooler and sales floor. Back storage room needed to be cleaned and organized. Furniture and old equipment was being stored and needed to be removed. Paper towels were needed inside employee restroom.
Pinehurst BBQ and Steak, 100 Strickland Drive in Pinehurst: 87. Bags of sugar had evidence of mice eating on the bag. Owner disposed it immediately. A dead mouse was found in the outside storage area. Food needed to be covered and dated. Employee drinks were stored improperly on storage shelves. Wall under Vent-a-Hood has grease falling down wall and needed to be cleaned. Floors throughout and inside walk-in cooler needed to be cleaned of old foods. Current health inspection report was not posted in front of restaurant. Follow-up visit is required.

Dates were needed on products. Drinks were stored on floor inside walk-in cooler. Light shields needed. Floors needed to be cleaned. Current food service permit, current health inspection report, and certified food manager certificate were not posted in front of the store. No food handler certificates were found on premises.
