Bridge City Gears Up for 2nd Annual “Red, White, & YOU” Celebration, June 27–28
BRIDGE CITY, Texas — Southeast Texans will kick off the Independence Day week a little early when the 2-day “Red, White, & YOU” Celebration returns to the Bridge City Community Center, June 27–28. Gates open at 5 p.m. both evenings, and a portion of every ticket, funnel-cake, and souvenir sold will benefit the Warrior Bonfire Program, a non-profit that serves Purple Heart veterans.
Friday • June 27 — Free Family Fun & Throw-back Hits
Opening night is packed with free entertainment: a Kids Zone, young-entrepreneur marketplace, dunking booth, food-trucks and scores of craft vendors. The live-music bill starts with Southeast Texas’ own Hillbilly Deluxe before headliner Catalina Wine Mixer turns Parkside Drive into a giant sing-along of funky favorites and pop throwbacks.
Saturday • June 28 — Honky-Tonk, Drone Show & Beer Garden
Saturday ups the ante with a Beer Garden, Kids Zone, more vendors and a drone light show after dark. Rising Louisiana crooner Dustin Sonnier tops the stage with steel-guitar-driven honky-tonk swagger, following an opening set by hometown favorite Jace Nunnelly.
Tickets & Admission
- Friday: Free entry for all ages.
- Saturday: $10 general admission; children 6 and under admitted free. Advance sales close at 11:45 p.m. on June 26 via Purplepass.
Why Your Ticket Matters – About the Warrior Bonfire Program
Founded by and for combat-wounded service members, the Warrior Bonfire Program creates stress-free, activity-based retreats—think hunting, fishing, skiing and white-water rafting—that foster camaraderie and therapeutic healing among post-9/11 Purple Heart recipients. Each multi-day event ends with a flag-retirement bonfire, allowing veterans to honor fallen comrades and continue their own journey toward purpose and peace. The 501(c)(3) organization relies on community partners; proceeds from “Red, White, & YOU” will help fund additional retreats for deserving heroes. (warriorbonfireprogram.org)
