Raymond Dean Weldon, age 55 of Orange, Texas, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at his home. Services to honor Raymond’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Dorman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tony Story officiating. Interment will follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park. Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM before the service.
Raymond was born in Orange, Texas on January 16, 1964 to Patsy Ann Longron Weldon and Abbie Raymond Weldon. Raymond had a green thumb when it came to plants and flowers and created beautiful flower gardens. He was the king of treasure hunting and was always able to make something out of nothing. Raymond was a good listener and had the unique ability to understand and love others. He made friends easily and was a dependable friend to all that knew him. Raymond had a soft spot for the elderly and was a caregiver to so many. Raymond had attended the United Pentecostal Church in Bridge City and First Church in Port Arthur in his earlier years and attended the Family Worship Center in Orange with his parents in their later years. Raymond’s faith in the Heavenly Father always remained strong.
Raymond is preceded in death by his father, Abbie Raymond Weldon, his mother Patsy Ann Lovelace and stepfather Bill Lovelace.
Those left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Wayne Cockrell and his wife Cheryl of Orangefield, TX, Donovan Weldon and his wife Bobbie of Orangefield, TX, Jeff Gamble of Orangefield, TX, Vickie Lewis of Bridge City, TX, Janois Grizzaffi and her husband Mark of Orangefield, TX and Kaylee Ware of Port Arthur, TX. Numerous nieces, nephews and many close friends.
Pallbearers to honor Raymond will be Cody Strause, Casey Gamble, Allan Cockrell, Donovan Weldon II, Rodney Mosier, Luke Smith, Daniel McCauley, and Elbert Ray Bass.
