Ray Linscomb, 81, of Orange, Texas, passed away on November 18, 2024.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Jeff Bell and Doug Frederick. Cremation will follow under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Visitation will begin prior to the service at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on July 22, 1943, he was the son of Clyde Alburtus Linscomb and Esther Mae (Wolf) Linscomb. He was a devoted family man and a close friend to many. Ray dedicated his working years to his role as a Shop Foreman for American Bridge. He found joy in simple things. Ray enjoyed working in his garden, going fishing, and sharing cups of coffee while having heartfelt chats. To his grandson, he was lovingly known as “Pop,” and he cherished every moment spent with family and friends. Ray will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Esther Linscomb; father and mother-in-law, Robert Ewing, Sr. and Inez Guillotte Ewing; brother-in-law, Robert Ewing; sister-in-law, Gertie Ewing; and nephew, Caleb Linscomb.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Bobbie Linscomb; son, Michael Linscomb and wife Alisa; daughter, Susan Linscomb; grandson, Parker Linscomb and Jackie Ebarb; great grandson, Luke Ray Linscomb; brother, Clyde Linscomb, Jr. and wife Julie; aunt, Patty Guillotte; niece, Sunshine Linscomb Rives; as well as other loving family and friends.
