A woman helping at a church Tuesday evening had her purse stolen from an unlocked pickup truck. Orange police at 6:30 p.m. went to First Christian Church, 611 Ninth Street in the Old Orange Historic District.
The officer reported the woman had been loading chairs and tables. She left the purse on the front seat of the truck, which was parked on the side. Police said a window was down and the truck unlocked.
The purse had a cell phone, and cash, along with credit and debit cards.
