Tuesday night the Orange Police Department and the Orange County Sheriffs Office, along with other agencies, raided three stores for illegal gambling. The Shell store across the street from WalMart on Edgar Brown Dr., and the two convenience stores to the south and west of Walgreens on 16th St. were raided simultaneously around 6:30pm.
Detective Captain Robert Enmon said they executed three search warrants for organized criminal activity as all three are being accused of illegal gambling. Authorities seized certain parts of 8 liner machines along with other equipment. No arrests were made during the initial raid but that could’ve changed during the night. We should have more information some time Wednesday.
