
Orange narcotics officers have made drug-related arrests in two 16th Street convenience store parking lots. Detective Captain Robert Enmon said store owners have complained about loiterers and suspected drug transactions.
“We make that a high priority and give them extra attention to help eliminate problems,” he said.
Wednesday afternoon at 1:47, a Bridge City man and a woman from Orange were arrested for possession of methamphetamine after officers saw several people on bicycles drive up to the Jeep they were in.
Police report they were at the Citgo station at 16th Street and Burton Avenue. When they walked up to the parked Jeep, the driver was trying to stuff something into his pocket. Police then found methamphetamine. They arrested the driver, 39-year-old Michael David Henry Jr., and Christian Winfry for possession of a controlled substance.
Another woman in the vehicle, 33-year-old Kimberly Denise McGallion of OrangeĀ was arrested for having two fake driver’s licenses. She faces charges of forgery of a government instrument.
On Thursday afternoon at 1:30, officers were at the Shell station at 1402 16th Street. Captain Enmon said the officers saw suspicious activity around a vehicle.
After the investigation of the vehicle, Rachel Bartley of Beaumont was arrested for possession of a controlled substance for methamphetamine. Ashlee Desiree Rainwater of Orange was arrested for misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
