Fall Strikes Out 26 in the Sweep
The Bridge City Lady Cardinals built a five-run lead in the seventh inning and then held off Hardin Jefferson’s charge for a 5-3 victory on Thursday. H-J scored all three runs in the seventh to make it interesting. Carson Fall pitched Cardinals to victory. The righthander allowed three hits and three runs
over seven innings, striking out 15 and walking one. Marlie Strong was 3-3 with a HR.
BC completed the sweep with a 5-2 win in Game Two. Carson Fall was the winning pitcher for Cardinals. The righty allowed four hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out 11 and walking one. Nicole Sasser was 2-3 with an RBI and Amaris Larkin was 1-3 with 2 RBI’s.

The Deweyville Lady Pirates swept Brookeland with victories of 10-2, 15-5.
In Gm. 1 Deweyville broke open a close game with 6 runs in the sixth. B. Smith gave up one earned run and struck out six. The offense pounded out 11 hits, with 3 a piece from J. Hughes and B. Sims. A. Raymer was 2-4 with 3 RBI’s.
In Gm.2 the LP’s got down 5-0 early but a monster HR by Chloe Landry sparked the offense to 15 unanswered runs. Landry was 3-5 with 5 RBI’s. Pitcher B. Smith struck out 7 and went 3-4 with 2RBI at the plate.
