Parents and guests who wish to attend events on campus during the school day will need to come to the high school and have their ID scanned through the Raptor system and “pre-register” online to have their visitor badge ready the day of the event. Once you have done this you won’t have to scan your ID for the rest of the first semester for future events, but you will have to pre-register online for each one you plan to attend. If you do not pre-register for the event you will have to wait in line to have your ID put through the Raptor system, and could possibly miss part or all of the event you plan to attend. Pre-registration can be found on the VHS website under the Parents/ Students tab by selecting “visitors badge”
Our first event of the year will be the Pep Rally held on Friday, August 30th in the Gym at 3:15 pm. The cutoff to “pre-register” for a visitor badge will be Friday, Aug. 30th at 11:00 am. On the pep rally day, you will enter through the iron gate near the library to pick up your badge if you pre-registered beginning at 2:30. If you didn’t pre-register, we will have a mobile raptor system at the gate, but you will have to wait in line to swipe your ID. The gates will be locked at 3:15 and there will be no more entry at that time.
