The first organizational meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of Pinehurst was held Tuesday morning. Liz Hogan the chairperson of the newly appointed commission presented a mission statement which was well received by the commission members and was approved as a preliminary mission statement. Hogan appointed Dave Derosier as the Vice-Chairperson of the commission. Laurah Rodgers volunteered and was approved to serve as the commission’s secretary. The seven-member board also has Scott Hasty, Stan Mathews, Reid Caruthers, and Kenny Johnson as voting members with Pinehurst Code Enforcement Officer Harry Vine serving as a non-voting member.
