Pinehurst Police Chief Fred Hanauer said another person has been found with methamphetamine. Pinehurst officers about 10:48 a.m. Monday confiscated meth, he said, but the investigation is in progress and charges are pending.
He said the methamphetamine was found after police were called to investigate “suspicious activity in the 1200 block of 28th Street,” which runs off MacArthur Drive by MacArthur Shopping Center. It was the same block in which another meth possession arrest was made on May 1.
Chief Hanauer said none of the recent four incidents involving meth in Pinehurst involved residents of that town. He said Pinehurst police, West Orange police and Precinct 2 Constable David Cagle have an ongoing investigation of illegal drug distribution.
